My passion for photography started when I took a photography class while studying at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. I had finally found a use for the large SLR Canon EOS 888 camera my Dad had given me. I did well in the class and received a full 100% mark for my final project Students and Majors.

During the summer of my sophomore year I obtained a work abroad opportunity in Bulgaria through the AIESEC traineeship exchange program. Bored with working as Java programmer for $66 a month I decided to end my traineeship early and spend the next few weeks backpacking around Europe on a shoestring budget. I hit 13 countries in 7 weeks and most of the photography on this site came from this trip. The highlight of the journey was a single day I spent in post-war Bosnia during which I developed my 24 hrs in Sarajevo series of pictures.

When I returned to Ann Arbor that fall I worked briefly as a photojournalist for the Michigan Daily, the campus newspaper with a subscription of 100,000. A series of photographs I took of Berlin during the Love Parade made a 2 page spread in the center of the paper. My 24 hrs in Sarajevo exhibit was also featured for the public in the Michigan Union.

I'm currently spend my time between Malaysia, New York and Estonia. I'm addicted to travel and my nomadic lifestyle continues to feed by passion for photography.
